In the late evening, if feeling comfortable, take a leisurely walk around the hotel area or nearby Leh Market exploring local handicrafts and products. Enjoy dinner at your hotel and rest well. Overnight stay in Leh hotel (double/triple sharing basis).

Visit Spituk Monastery (6.6 km from Leh), a Buddhist monastery featuring a lifelike statue of Goddess Kali and hosting the annual Spituk Gustor festival. Day 3: Leh Drive to Likir & Trek to Yangthang (70 km drive, 9 km trek, 4-5 hours)

Begin the trek from Likir ascending through apple and apricot orchards alongside a motorable road toward Phobe La Pass (3,580m/11,745 ft). Leave the road to take a descending track leading through a scenic gorge before returning to the road. Witness the picturesque Sumdo village with its few houses nestled in the valley. Cross a wooden bridge over a glacial stream and climb to Chagatse La Pass (3,630m/11,900 ft) marked with prayer flags. Descend into the verdant Yangthang village (3,700m/12,135 ft), your first trekking camp. Experience authentic homestay accommodation and interact with local Ladakhi families. Overnight stay in Yangthang village homestay.
Day 4: Yangthang to Hemis Shukpachan via Tsermangchan La (10 km, 5-6 hours, 3,600m)

Descend into the spectacular village of Hemis Shukpachan (3,600m/11,810 ft), one of Ladakh's most beautiful settlements. The village is famous for its ancient juniper groves—believed by locals to be sacred and left completely undisturbed due to superstitious beliefs and spiritual significance. Walk through apple and apricot orchards surrounding the village. Interact with locals and learn about their traditional farming methods and daily life. Overnight stay in Hemis Shukpachan homestay with dinner prepared by local families.

Explore the monastery with its ancient architecture and spiritual significance. Short walk to Khalsi village, completing your trekking portion. At Khalsi, meet your support vehicle for the drive back to Leh. Drive approximately 60 km (2-3 hours) back to Leh through the scenic Sham Valley route via Alchi Monastery. Visit Alchi Gompa en route, a magnificent monastic complex famous for its ancient Buddhist paintings, intricate murals, and six temples dotted with white chortens.
