Given the unique logistics of operating in Ladakh—where flight cancellations, road blocks, and seasonal
At Ladakh 365, we understand that travel plans can change. However, due to the remote nature of Ladakh and the advance commitments we make to hotels, transporters, and expedition staff, the following cancellation charges apply.
1. Standard Tour Packages (Jeep Safari & Cultural Tours)
Cancellations must be notified in writing via email. The following charges apply based on the date of notification:
- 30 days or more before arrival: 25% of the total tour cost.
- 15 to 29 days before arrival: 50% of the total tour cost.
- 07 to 14 days before arrival: 75% of the total tour cost.
- Less than 07 days or No Show: 100% of the total tour cost (No Refund).
2. Adventure Expeditions (Mountaineering & Trekking)
Because these involve specialized gear, permits, and porter logistics, the policy is stricter:
- 45 days or more before arrival: 30% of the total cost.
- Less than 45 days before arrival: 100% of the total cost (Non-refundable), as permits and high-altitude staff are secured well in advance.
3. Motorcycle Rental & Touring
- Up to 15 days before rental: 20% of the total rental/tour amount.
- Less than 15 days before rental: 50% of the total rental/tour amount.
- On the day of rental/Early return: No refund is provided if the motorcycle is returned early or the tour is cut short by the rider.
4. Unforeseen Circumstances (Force Majeure)
Ladakh is prone to unpredictable weather, landslides, and sudden government restrictions.
- If a tour is cancelled by Ladakh 365 due to natural disasters or political instability before it starts, we will offer a credit note for future travel or a partial refund after deducting non-recoverable costs (like permits already issued).
- If a trip is cut short due to road blocks or weather after it has started, no refund will be provided for unused services, and any additional costs (extra hotel stays, flight changes) will be the responsibility of the client.
5. Refund Process
- Eligible refunds will be processed within 7 to 14 business days after the cancellation is confirmed.
- Refunds will be made via the original payment method or bank transfer. Any bank charges or currency conversion fees will be deducted from the refund amount.
6. Travel Insurance Recommendation
We strongly recommend that all clients purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers “Trip Cancellation” and “Emergency Evacuation” to protect against unforeseen financial losses.
