Day 01 :

Arrival in Leh and Rest

Welcome to Leh! We will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel. You must spend this day resting completely to help your body adjust to the high mountain air. In the evening, you can enjoy a slow walk through the Leh market.

Day 02 :

Leh Sightseeing and Culture

Explore the history of Ladakh today. We visit the Leh Palace and the wealthy Hemis Monastery. On the way back, we stop at Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace. We finish the day watching the sunset from the beautiful Shanti Stupa.

Day 03 :

Leh to Lamayuru (Moonland)

We drive through the Sham Valley to Lamayuru. You will see the famous Sangam where two rivers meet and visit the ancient Lamayuru Monastery. This area is called "Moonland" because the ground looks like the surface of the moon!

Day 04 :

Into Zanskar via Singe La Pass

Today we drive to Padum, the heart of Zanskar. We cross the high Singe La pass and pass through small mountain villages. Be ready for some fun off-road driving as we enter this remote valley

Day 05 :

Zangla Palace and Stongdey

We explore the historic side of Zanskar. We visit the old Zangla Palace and the Stongdey Monastery, which sits high on a hill with amazing views of the valley. We return to Padum for the night.

Day 06 :

Trek to Phugtal Cave Monastery

This is a highlight day! We drive to Purne and then take a 2-3 hour walk to reach the Phugtal Monastery. This monastery is built inside a giant cave and looks incredible. After lunch, we walk back and return to Padum.

Day 07 :

South Zanskar Monasteries

Today we visit the southern part of the valley. We see the Bardan, Karsha, and Sani monasteries. These are some of the oldest and most peaceful places in the region. We spend our last night in Padum.

Day 08 :

Padum to Kargil via Penzila Pass

We leave Zanskar and drive towards Kargil. You will cross the beautiful Penzila Pass and see the famous Nun-Kun mountain peaks. The drive is long but the mountain views are some of the best in the world.

Day 09 :

Kargil to Srinagar via Drass

We drive to Srinagar today. On the way, we visit the Kargil War Memorial in Drass and cross the Zojila Pass. In the evening, enjoy a relaxing Shikara boat ride on Dal Lake and stay overnight on a traditional houseboat.

Day 10 :

Departure from Srinagar

Your grand expedition ends today. After breakfast on the houseboat, we will drive you to the Srinagar airport for your flight home. You leave with amazing stories from the heart of the mountains
